DA UN'IDEA SUA,NACQUE LA STORIA DELLA MORTE CHE CAMMINA

Sono passati molti anni da quando uscì un film in bianco e nero,scritto e diretto in pochi giorni,per poi diventare un vero cult.Non c'e' bisogno neanche di nominarlo visto che grazie al regista e al film ci siamo tutti appassionati al filo zombesco.
Ebbene cari miei mi trovo qui in questa sezione per la terza volta a discutere di un volto noto di questo film e, ringraziando il cielo, ancora vivo e più attivo che mai.
Parlo di John Russo sceneggiatore e regista americano più comunemente accreditato al film "La notte dei morti viventi".
Da giovane Russo frequentò la West Virginia University, finiti gli studi entrò nell'esercito e vi rimase due anni, terminato il periodo si unì alla The Latent image,una casa produttrice di film commerciali assieme a Romero e Ricci,i due fondatori.
Russo propose come idea un giovane che inciampava in un gruppo di ghoul che si cibavano di carne umana.L'idea venne apprezzata da Romero e dopo qualche giorno gli presentò un copione di 40 pagine.Uscì così il film cult "La notte dei morti viventi".
Russo ha continuato a scrivere molti copioni per poi girarli da soli.
I più importanti sono stati "the Booby Hatch",una commedia sessuale del 1976 e "Midnight" un adattamento del romanzo scritto dallo stesso nel 1982.L'ultimo film come attore è stato nel 2017 "My uncle John is a zombie"
Russo è anche il fondatore di "John Russo movie making program" situato al Dubois Business College in Pennysylvania. Presto uscirà un cd contenente tutte le colonne sonore dei suoi film.
